RoboCop returns to the cinema, more violent than ever.

RoboCop returns to the cinema, almost 30 after the popular science fiction film from Paul Verhoeven made this robot policeman into a cult figure. The new RoboCop returns to the same environment, with the characters and the story almost the same as the original, but with special effects that have little to do with the original RoboCop.

Although this time with a cast of familiar characters which a remake of RoboCop deserves: Joel Kinnaman (The Killing) as Alex Murphy, the policeman who ends up being known as RoboCop, Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Rises) as the scientist who creates the robot policeman, and Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers) as media mogul Pat Novak.

All to tell again the debacle of civilization in the Detroit of 2029, and the rise of robotics, by multinational conglomerate OmniCorp: their planes win U.S. wars around the world and now they're seeking to bring this technology to urban control. Alex Murphy, husband, father and policeman, is doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After falling seriously injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp use their extraordinary robotics to save Alex's life. The policeman now returns to his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with a few problems that a common man would never have had to face.
